Home today in Beijing. |
| Nov 12, 6am (China time) So we arrived in Beijing with very few hitches. (Always a nice plus). We were able to get in, get a shower and hit the sack. Zoe and I made it until 7:30pm before we crashed. She slept in until 4am and we've been playing in bed quietly in the dark since, trying not to wake up Aunt Shari. I LOVE cell phones that light, by the way, wonderful night lights to retrieve bananas, missing socks, the time. Today we're headed to see a Children's home. I will write all about it when we get back and include whatever pictures they'll allow me to post. Today is a huge step in knowing about our future adventures! 6pm (China time) We spent the day with some amazingly wonderful nannies, babies and the director of an American run orphan "group home". My head is still spinning from all the details I heard/learned. So many more questions, but I got the answers to a lot of questions as well. Many decisions to be made in the near future. It's been snowing most of the day. The cold and wet prevented us from doing much exploring today. Instead, we stayed in the hotel and had a nice warm lunch with hot green tea in the hotel restaurant. Zoe took a nap and is now back asleep. I have a feeling she'll be up early again tomorrow (groan). We spent the afternoon just chillin' in the room and stuffing almost 40 gifts for nannies. We'll be handing those out tomorrow. We can't seem to access facebook or blogger so THIS is the only place for updates. Stay tuned! |
